Content Management Systems (CMS)

There are many Content Management Systems (CMSs) to chose from, we use Drupal for functionality and security

Why use a CMS?

Create, edit, and manage your content using a simple editor you can use from anywhere.

The Content Management System (CMS) is where you will manage your content, from changing text, adding images, or creating brand-new pages. In the past CMSs have been cumbersome to use, fighting with uploading images, video formats or simply aligning text. We at Huyton Web Services use Drupal (with lots of modification) for our CMS. Drupal had been around for 14 years and is used worldwide by Universities like Oxford and Government websites like London talk.

The CMS is completely open source so anyone can contribute to the system and when a developer does contribute, their contribution can be used by everyone.

We use the CMS for all our online usage, including this website

On top of the CMS is the Editor, which is the place you will edit content and type text or add media, this has buttons for bold, Italic, adding images, new paragraphs and spell checking all from your computer or mobile phone.

Simple to use

Use a Word-like editor to create, change and manage all your content from a simple interface.

Mobile friendly

It’s late, you’re watching TV and suddenly have a great idea for content. Don’t worry about booting up the laptop, simply edit on your mobile phone.

Any content

You can add any content including images, video or text from any computer or mobile phone as long as it’s connected to the internet.

More from the CMS

The CMS is not just used to manage image, video and text, it is also used to show reports, add ecommerce, add blogs and any number of other things the web is used for. Want to allow comments on your pages? Need to add advertising? We can do this and all manged from 1 place, your CMS.
